About Doctor Jean-Charles Bauchau
Dr Bauchau studied medicine at Université Catholique de Louvain (Brussels), where he graduated with great distinction. Then, he went on to specialise in ophthalmology in various establishments in Belgium and France, notably in the Cliniques Universitaires Saint-Luc and Mont-Godinne University Hospital.
Following his training, Dr Bauchau joined Adolphe de Rothschild Foundation Hospital in Paris, where he focuses on anterior segment surgery, in particular corneal surgery, cataract surgery and refractive surgery, as part of Professor Damien Gatinel's team.
His surgical skills were rounded out by obtaining an Interuniversity Diploma in Refractive Surgery and Cataract Surgery, at the University of Cochin in Paris.
In addition, he has obtained certification in ‘Clinical Ophthalmology’ issued by the International Council of Ophthalmology.
Dr Bauchau is currently practising asophthalmologist in Brussels (Woluwé-Saint-Pierre, Etterbeek and Tervuren).
